Teams enabled SharePoint Library - Add to OneDrive/Explorer

Hi,

 

We have recently rolled out a new 365 Tennant (migrated from an old Tenant) and I want users to be able to access a Teams enabled SharePoint Library on their Windows PCs from explorer via the shortcut rather than sync method.

 

Is there a good document on how to set this up even MS webpages seem out of date due to interface changes.

 

I'm completely new to 365 and MS cloud in general.

but feel there is more to it than this and feel i need more explanation/background to how SharePoint libraries work with endpoints etc.

but i get an "something went wrong error" but I think this is because this is a legacy thing now and is not possible with "new" libraries

Wasn’t aware there is a way except from the sync method or by using a third party product/script.

 

You can do it via GPO but it still uses sync, as far as I am aware

As above, official MS process uses the OneDrive client sync process. Otherwise do what we do and use CloudDriveMapper, worth every penny in my opinion.

Second that on the CDM application. Once setup it works just fine.

 

Doesn't like large files though.

Hi, Yes i'd heard of CDM and alternatives just thought Ms had made it possible without a 3rd party method.

 

This is only for less than 6 users which I can manually configure. What is the best way to do this. Would OneDrive sync method be fine or are there downsides to that too?

For 6 users definitely do it via manual method, syncing via OneDrive app. It works well and is fast, just doesn’t like large libraries, over 100,000 items I think.
