Hi there

We are just tinkering with starting to use OneDrive for a small amount of users.

I'd like if possible to deploy OneDrive and have it auto load and auto sign them into it.

Our computers on an AD domain but not Azure

Users are AD synced to Azure

Using Roaming profiles

I've had a look and setup one user and if i manually signed in it worked fine, however when i rebooted i had to sign back in again and setup again.

Many thanks

It doesn't require computers to be AzureJoined, but it requires users sync'd via one of the tools (CloudSync/Connect etc) - Then you can just enable SSO as an additional powershell command that will work with Edge/OneDrive etc locally

I've set this up today.

You'll need setup and working

Active Directory

Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)

Entra Connect (Syncs the above)

OneDrive ADMX templates imported into your PolicyDefinitions folder, these can be found on a PC with the proper OneDrive tool installed.

Under machines configuration, admin templates, onedrive there's an option for silently sign in. Enable that, done :)

Thought, ooh that sounds too easy after trying for ages to get it working, and I still can't get it working.

The OneDrive client just sits there and if you hover the mouse over it, it just says "Signing in"

Policy is deffinitly being applied so the results wizzard says. Back to the drawing board.....

If you’ve got entra connect set up right hybrid join just happens and that what make sso for OneDrive work.

On a client device what is the output of dsregcmd /status?

(As both a normal user and as local admin)

Is the UPN of the AD accounts, the same as their Microsoft 365 login?
