sLiDeR Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Guys, I keep getting the 'Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.' Anyideas?
Michael Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Sounds like the spooler is crashing. This is normally caused by printer drivers. Try updating your printer drivers. If you open up Task Manager and look under Processes, monitor the size of spoolsv.exe As a quick workaround (in the meantime) copy this code into notepad and save as Spooler.bat. Use Scheduled Tasks to run the file every few hours (or whatever is necessary). @echo off net stop spooler net start spooler
KarlGoddard Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 as Michael said really... I had exactly the same issue when I installed a new printer on a dept staffroom PC. I didn't remove the previous printers' driver(s) and got the error message you've been getting. I removed all 'old' drivers then downloaded the latest driver for the new printer - problem solved.
