We are working towards configuring / enabling the 'Scan to OneDrive / SharePoint' functionality and have the necessary configuration all setup and ready to go...

However, our DPO has advised that we need to undertake a DPIA as any scanned documents (after being sent encrypted and securely from our MFD to internal PaperCut server) will be sent to PaperCut's Broker Server. I think that this is their concern (e.g. scanned document being stored on 3rd party / external server - As an aside, would PaperCut have the key to decrypt???).

I've read through the process (https://www.papercut.com/discover/easy-scanning-and-capture/scan-to-cloud/#authentication-flow) and understand that the data is encrypted 'every step of the way' (though documents can be kept for up to 24-hours on PaperCut's Broker Server).

Within Options > Advanced > Cloud Services, I have ensured the the Hosting Region is set to 'United Kingdom'

Has anyone else done similar? Or obtained a copy of PaperCut's Data Handling agreement etc?

@PaperCutterBrenda?

Thanks,
