[sims] SIMS .net slow opening reports menu

Hi all,

 

I don't know how long it's been an issue, but it's only been raised today with me. For all users, on any device on the network, when going "Reports" -> "Run Report" there is a large spike in network traffic and SIMS .net says it's not responding for around 30 seconds, and then it all wakes up and works. I've been through their article of "Addressing performance issues" recently anyway for something else, so I know the server is fine on space, ldf is shrunk, patches applied, validated memberships, etc.

 

Anyone else see this? Anyone got any ideas?

Just to try and bring some life back to this thread - We have exactly the same problem here. SIMS locks up on 'Run' or 'Design' report, users are complaining and blaming it on the Server or the PC's, but the Server isn't under load, the PC isn't (Minus a sudden spike in CPU for a short while above) and then it comes back.

 

Did you get yours resolved?

I'll log a ticket and see if I get anywhere - but I expect to be fobbed off, which normally happens!
