Good afternoon guys!

I am quite new to sims (3 weeks in!), and I have been tasked with trying to find out if there is a way of converting a numerical input in the marksheet to a text output in a report E.g if a ‘1’ is typed the output would be ‘working towards’, ‘2’ would be ‘achieving’ for example.

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated :)

Yes - give the grade a description and then in the report pull out result description rather than result.

We have A/E/T for above, expected, towards and it pulls through into the report as something a bit more descriptive.

Hi Mia,

In the grade set, you should be able to give a grade a description - the column in the middle.

Staff will then enter a number onto the marksheets instead of the whole description.

Then when you go to your assessment manager report or profile, you can bring it through as a field - don't go for Grade, but Grade Description. This should pull it through onto your report.

If you need any help give me a shout.

Hi there

just to add...

if the data is stored as a number rather than a grade you can use the Marks to Grade formula
