Smoothwall + Routing Question

Hi all,

 

Wondering if you can give some advice/guidance.

 

We have our set up like this

 

Site 1 PC ---->Smoothwall---->Core Switch

Site 2 PC ---->Core Switch---->Smoothwall

 

So Site 1 PC has a gateway of the smoothwall, all fine. Inter-vlan routing enabled.

Site 2 PC has a gateway of the Core Switch (its in VLAN) and then an added IP Route (ip route 10.10.0.0 255.255.252.0 10.10.0.3)

 

The Site 2 PC cannot access anything via the internet but can access local resources on both sites. If I ping 10.10.0.3 from Site 2 PC, no reply given.

 

If I make any changes to 10.10.0.3 ip on the smoothwall, it will ping back for about 10 pings then stops, i do however get a reply from Site 1 PC to 10.10.0.3 which is consistent.

 

I'm trying to work out if its Smoothwall or the Core Switch atm but i'm now getting a bit lost.

 

Any advice?
