JPS77 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Hi all We are a Chromebook school however our EYFS team do not feel that Chromebooks are suitable for them to use with children. They had ipads but the devices are now unuseable. They want the devices for playing app games (e.g. Jolly Phonics/Spelling shed etc) Does anyone have any recomendations? Should we get android tablets/Chrome tablets? IF so which ones? Thanks in advance
Syman_a Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 We have a few Lenovo Ideapad duet 3 10" chromebook tablets . However, they are may not be robust enough for EYFS
Oaktech Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 We've got 2 different generations of Lenovo M10 HD tablets managed by Google MDM in JLC cases and we've only had one failure.
steveg Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 We've actually taken all our tablets out of our reception class and given them non touch screen laptops with external mice. Their main focus is getting the children to learn how to use a mouse, in the hope that as they progress through the school teaching ICT may be a little easier!
