garethEds Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 Afternoon Everyone, A strange issue has started since upgrading MDT to deploy Feb 2023 Windows 11. We are getting an error messgae: 'Logon Failure: the user has not been granted the quested logon type at this computer.' This happened on the Sept 2023 image as well. I have updated the ADK etc but am still seeing the issue. If I log in as the local admin twice, the deployment continues. A Google search didn't really show anything of use so if anyone has any issues - I'd love to hear them. Many thanks Gareth

garethEds Posted March 6, 2024 Author Posted March 6, 2024 Do you mean just updating your base ISO? Sorry - we've updated our base ISO to Feb 2023 (23H2) Or upgrading MDT? We've updated this as well to the Sept 2023 version which MS say will work. (Download and install the Windows ADK | Microsoft Learn) Gareth

garethEds Posted March 6, 2024 Author Posted March 6, 2024 Worth creating a basic task sequence from scratch? and a new answer file? Hi - yes. Am currently trying that. It's deploying. Be strange if it worked. Why would it work with a new task sequence and not the old task sequence?.... I'll wait here before pressing 'Submit Reply'......... Nah - it stopped.
garethEds Posted March 7, 2024 Author Posted March 7, 2024 @kennysarmy - you absolute legend. After having an issue with the latest WINPE Addon (rolled it back) the two changes in that reddit article did the trick. It now builds without any issues. Now why haven't MS changed that? How are we meant to know this? Really annoys me. Gareth 1
