Has anyone had any experience with a warranty repair for a Dynabook laptop? We sent a device off the first week of January and we still don't have a repaired machine back. They keep pushing the date back due to no parts but they've now had it for over 55 days and have said it won't be in until at least the 7th March at the earliest.

If it was one of the Covid DfE ones then they were custom builds for the DfE with specifically lower spec'd parts to lower cost, couldn't get drivers for them at all and ended up just binning them when they inevitably failed. Edited by cnewstead

This is one we bought via our IT support company and paid for extended warranty on! Won't be doing that again! They've advised that Dynabook have pulled out of the UK market which is why the repairs are probably taking a long time.

We get so much laptop vandalism here it's pointless for us to buy extended warranties, we do all our own repairs these days and if it's something like water damage or the motherboard we'll just cannibalize what we can and bin the rest.
