Hi All, feel as though I have become Alice and decided to go down the rabbit hole.

I am wanting to implement a BYOD network which filters students in relation to the Smoothwall group they are part of. This requires Radius, which is set up on the Internal NPS server.

We implement a wireless network from Meraki and I wish to VLAN the BYOD network off from the main network. All VLANS terminate at the core switch and then are routed down a single VLAN between the core switch and MX Firewall.

I have Radius set up on smoothwall and a VLAN'd secure network on Meraki, i just need to direct all traffic to the smoothwall login page, can anyone help? provide advise? tell me ive done it wrong and how to correct?

Many Thanks

David

So if you are using 802.1x/Radius on the wifi, you dont need the smoothwall login page.

You need to send your radius accounting packets to the Smoothwall and you're good to go.

But you can have the SSL login page as the auth option as well. Users that authenticate via RADIUS wont get the redirect to the login page as they are already authenticated but users that have not, will see it.
