[sims] SIMs subject levels for census returns - Cambridge National (Level 2)

Hi,

 

Our census has given us an error as we don't have the Cambridge National L2 course (Creative iMedia) with the correct subject level in NOVA T6 or SIMs. Can anyone let me know what subject code I should assign it in NOVA T6?

We use Cm for the subject code, and set as a Cambridge National Level 1/2 course in Course Manager

That's brilliant - did you need to change anything in NOVA T6 as well, or did you just do this all in SIMs?

If it's like my course OCR Level 1/Level 2 Cambridge National in Engineering Programmable Systems J824 then I have it in SIMS at the level of 'Cambridge Nationals Certificate Level 1 & 2' (which gives the letters CNCe) as it is a Level 1 / Level 2 course depending on how much the student does. ie it is not simply a Level 2 course. So be careful if yours is similar (I haven't' checked yours). We have that course identified as such in NovaT too ie at that level.

The subject code comes from T6, you can set the qualification level in T6 if you like, but it is also settable in SIMS via Course Manager
