KarlGoddard Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 On the infrequent times that all the IT staff are out of the office / away from the helpdesk, how do you attempt to stay contactable? Do you have call redirect to staff (or even personal) mobiles? Do you have radio / walkie talkie comms Just curious as a good way to remain contactable when out and about.
DrCheese Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Service Desk only. Although we can have our phone system on our personal phones I discourage my team from answering if already out on a job. Years ago we had radios, but as above my logic is if we’re not in the office, we are busy doing other jobs so contacting someone just to say “busy at the moment please log on the service desk” became silly. 2
bknaggs Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 We have the option of having 3CX on our phones. Radios keep being mentioned but my thoughts are email us and we can come to you once we've sorted what we're dealing with. 1
Davit2005 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Teams if normally working (both onsite and WFH), my personal number is known by a few key people but it is never taken advantage of.
