Role: ICT Technician

 

Salary: £27,334-£29,777

 

Hours: Full Time - 37hrs/week, 52 weeks/year

 

Start date: December 2023/January 2024

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced person to join our small ICT Support team in a high performing school, graded Outstanding by Ofsted, where we provide an exceptional experience for all our students and staff.

 

Situated near the picturesque and historic market town of Hitchin, it is conveniently located in the beautiful countryside just 25 minutes from London by train and with easy access to motorways.

Reporting to the ICT Support Manager, you will help to manage, support and administer all aspects of ICT across the school.

You will have....

 

Essential:

 

A good understanding of most of the following:

· Microsoft Windows clients

· Mac OS and iPad iOS

· Linux OS

· Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Terminal server

· Google Workspace

· Chromebook management and deployment

· Audio-visual equipment including projectors, stage lighting, and sound.

· Installation and configuration of networked software

· Installation and configuration of network switches, wireless networking and print servers.

· Working with Active Directory and Group Policies

· Data privacy and protection

· Anti-Virus and cyber security protection

· VMWare

 

Desirable:

 

· Experience of supporting ICT in a school

· SCCM

· Ability to install peripherals, including scanners, printers, digital cameras and associated

software to both networked and standalone PCs

· Ability to upgrade and maintain school administrative systems.

· Remote installation of software, MSI, NET framework

· Remote access technologies
