Anyone head of this ISP supplier

Has anyone heard of or used a company called Communication Plus based in Rainford, Merseyside?

 

I have a quote for a leased line - 1gb connection on a 10Gb bearer which is ridiculously cheap when compared to others.

 

I'm trying to workout if it one of those "too good to be true" situations or if it is a genuine really good deal.

I haven't heard of them, but they seem to at least have been around a while, since 2006. Reviews seem decent and spread across time (though I don't always trust online reviews).

 

I used to work on that industrial estate. Fun fact, that's the same estate where Kenable are based.

if the price is too low - make 100% sure it's 1gig up and down and uncontended (not shared).

Maybe double check they haven't given you a price for a 1Gbps / 1Gbps rather than a 1Gbps / 10Gbps by mistake? As there is a large price difference between the two variants.

Got 4 quotes and I am currently waiting on a 5th quote due to the large variation in costs.

 

The quote definitely mentions managed leased line - 1gb on 10gb bearer and was mentioned during our conversations.

 

I've asked for clarification and to double check the quote - along with copies of SLA/T&Cs plus any testimonials.

When I was working around here the network comms was looked after by the LEA on the insistence of the Head - so I never had to look around for suppliers - so I can't say anything positive or negative abou tthem

It's via an Alt-Net - have sent you a separate email/price. No reason not to buy, just a few things to look out for.
