Cyber Explorers nightmare

Good afternoon all,

 

This term, the ICT teachers have started using this platform with the Year 7 and 8s but we're having loads of issues with it.

 

We are getting various issues like:

 

the page not loading at all with just the 'Hmm can't reach this page'

the page loading but them the circle of death appears with a message of this page is not responding. Wait or reload

the pages load fine but when running one of the videos, it'll just suddenly stop with This page isn't responding. cyrin-qadcms-atcorp.com/mod/scorm/player.php

 

The setup is all fairly new:

 

1gb leaded line which is only running at around 25% capacity.

The rooms are all cabled to the core.

The PCs are brand new Dell I3's. Resources checked and no struggles at all

The Fortigate has loads of resources and isn't blocking anything.

 

Does anyone else have issues like this?

Have you definitely put logging on the policy the traffic is hitting on the FortiGate? I'd highly recommend doing this and debugging from there.

 

I've also seen issues with MTU size where this happens although it'd be more frequent than just a single site....

Sophos was blocking it for us. We had to add it to a https exception.

within a number of seconds yes. You can monitor policies via the CLI or use FortiAnalyzer or our hosted Incident Management Platform where logs are exported to these cloud based reporting tools. You can then run whatever reports you want on the data that has just entered the data lake which takes a matter of seconds to be able to be reported on.
