Senior IT Technician – Midlands – Hybrid – up to £35K

• Central MAT ICT technician role, with real career and skill development potential

• Work from home base with regular trips, mostly across Midlands and London Head office, all expenses paid.

• Be the first port of call for schools based IT and SLT staff, working alongside other senior’s and systems and cloud managers in the central team.

• No two days would be the same!

• 34-36 days leave inc. bank hols – CAN be taken during term time.

This medium sized Multi Academy Trust, with most schools across the midlands, has a central team supporting remotely, a range of windows, o365 and cloud technologies to 1st and 2nd line level. Using your experience of supporting users in schools, you will have a good understanding of the challenges and technologies and will be able to put that to good use, remotely, whist developing your core infrastructure and cloud knowledge. (systems supported includes SCCM, AD, Group Policy, networking, o365, Intune, Google workspace, MIS’ etc)

 

This is a role definitely requires some travel depending on the time of year and a car driver is a must, for instance this could be to occasionally step in to cover IT onsite vacancies, visit the London head office to support/upgrade their infrastructure, or take the technical lead in project work onsite at any of their schools.

 

This is a great role for someone who wants to work within a centralised IT model, but not in a managed service. For someone who is ready to move on from the day to day basic level IT requests onsite staff have to deal with and have genuine career progression from the one school setting.

 

Initial interviews will be teams based, with a face to face in London.
