chazzy2501 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Hi, I want to setup mfa for only teachers and staff. I need the ability to set conditional mfa?? I guess I need a subscription, would this subscription be for just me (the admin to make the changes) or everyone affected by my changes? cheers
DavR Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 You'll need Azure AD P1 licensing to do conditional MFA. If you've got Office 365 E3 / A3 or above, you should have this as part of your package. We had to buy it separately, but, it was only a few pounds per user license per annum. There are conflicting opinions on how many licenses you need to buy. If you buy and assign just one AAD P1 license, then the functionality will be available for everybody, but my understanding is that to do it properly, you should buy licenses for every user who is using conditional MFA functionality.
Ex-MGSTech Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) I have just had to allocate Enterprise Mobility + Security A3 licenses to all staff to do just this. We bought EM & S A3 as an add on, but likely to go A5/E5 on renewal Edited September 4, 2023 by Ex-MGSTech 1
