Hi all,

New account but old user here. Previously a network manager for secondary school in Essex, but now working back in the real world!

I've bought one of the Coomber CD Cassette players from an auction site that we used to use in the school, as they are brilliant for converting cassette to USB.

Unfortunately the firmware that is currently on the player does not support recording to USB and I need to upgrade it.

Also unfortunately Coomber Audio has now gone out of business as of last month (they used to make them available on their website). I've looked at internet archive and the firmware file wasn't archived.

It is for a Coomber 6100 series.

The URL used to be http://www.coomberaudio.com/uploads/images/Kerry/image_050412.bin.

So the filename is image_050412.bin.

This is a big favour, but does anyone have this file they could send me please?

Any help really appreciated.

Many thanks

I'm sorry I can't help with your firmware request, but I am sad to see Coomber has gone out of business, I think they made excellent quality portable audio equipment for schools.

I suppose now most classrooms have a built in AV solution, the need for the these portable units has all but gone which is sad in a way.

Thanks! I was able to get the file from the links you shared. Not sure how I missed them before. After digging out a working CD burner, I was able to update the device. Thanks all for the help. :)
