Locker - New Intake (Pre-Admission)

Hi,

 

Just getting a general idea of what other schools do that are using locker.

 

We need to generate our users before the 2nd August (we have to set ipads up over summer )

 

So i am wondering how early do other schools generate users

 

Do you do it first day of the holidays or last day of term? etc

 

It's our first year we've had a new intake on the new system (last year was the migration)

Personally I do it after the 1st of September, with the age of our students I use locker and Bromcom to generate mail merges, they are all given stickers to place in their planners. I do know that (well, as of last year) if you are using Bromcom, locker couldnt access any pre-admission students. I suspect with the many upgrades they have done over the last 12 months this may be different.

We only have to do them earlier than normal due to the ipads, if we didn't have them then i would leave them till later on
