Guest Guest Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We’re having a new wireless network installed over the holiday and several APs will be going in our sports hall. I need something to protect the APs from damage, would anyone be able to recommend anything?
localzuk Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 You can't use metal, so how about an ABS plastic junction box? Something like this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ogrmar-Dustproof-Waterproof-Universal-Electrical/dp/B07KW1W5NP
jdg101 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We ended up using these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163332659704?var=462603058521 Couldn't find anything else reasonable when we looked.
Reverend_Dan Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We just used an IP65 Box as well, its lasted 2 years so far
howartp Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We have these with our outdoor APs in: https://cpc.farnell.com/hylec/ded011/enclosure-trans-door-300x200x130mm/dp/PL11383 Not sure if they'd resist footballs/cricket balls etc but they work for what we needed.
Jawloms Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Someone I knew used hanging baskets for a couple of £ from B&Q. They didn't seem to interfere.
