Cat_Jam148 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Hi all, Wondering if anyone here has come across the issue below? I'm not getting much of response from the LGFL support team. We use Classroom Cloud to monitor web activity on a set of Pupil iPads in school using their managed browser. It was working fine up until the switch over to the new HTTPS SchoolProtect filtering from LGFL. Since the changeover, none of our iPads are able to establish a connection to Classroom Cloud. I know it's the new filtering, and not Classroom Cloud, as when I connect the device to a mobile hotspot, it has no issue and works as intended. I've added exceptions for Classroom Cloud into the HTTPS decryption page, but that hasn't worked. I've also ran a number of different IP reports and whatnot and can't seem to see what the issue is. This is the main issue at the moment, but we're also having problems activating Microsoft products, such as office, since the switchover... Appreciate any guidance!
willtech Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 With HTTPS filtering you normally would need a certificate installed on the device have LGFL provided you one ? 1

willtech Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Yep, installed the new cert that LGFL provided and confirmed it's working on the device. Ahh ok, might be best to reach out to their support, normally windows activation and that stuff usually works on SchoolProtect Filtering.
LeMarchand Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 I'm waiting to hear back to see if following: https://kb.netsupportsoftware.com/knowledge-base/what-are-the-fqdns-for-classroom-clouds-servers/ has helped with the problems we've been having (not LGFL). The teacher can broadcast but not supervise. Did you use to have a winhttp proxy set? I know I forgot to disable ours on some of our servers when we went to our new firewall.
Davit2005 Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 We had a problem years back with a service that used https, it did not like been decrypted. We put an exclusion in to the specific destination.

Incisive12 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 We are looking at implementing Classroom cloud - out of interest, are you able to touch upon the solution for the above issue? Thanks
Incisive12 Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Hi @Cat_Jam148 Are you able to share the solution you were provided for your classroom.cloud issue? Many Thanks
PaddyNewman Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 It's a bunch of firewall rules I 'think' If you are an LGfL school drop me a PM and I'll assist if I can, but I'll see if I can find the recent change I did for this service.
