Senior ICT Technician – Secondary School in the Rugby area – on-site – to £28,000 (DOE) plus excellent benefits for a September 2023 start

Senior ICT Technician. A job title I am sure you have come across before. But what does that mean?

 

Let me explain. Your new role. Providing great customer service to our schools that we have managed services contracts with. Colwyn Technologies (part of the Flywheel IT Services Ltd Group) provide a co-managed service to a MAT based in Rugby and they have asked us to find them a Senior ICT Technician to be based at the Secondary school but to also support their primary school in the north of Rugby. The MAT has aspirations to build a group of outstanding schools and therefore career development is high on their agenda. The benefits in addition to the basic salary are too numerous to put in this Job Ad, but I will gladly share with you if it looks like a win-win situation.

 

You may have been or currently are an ICT engineer or an ICT technician on a school site and can therefore ‘talk school’ and be familiar with the apps that schools use.

 

In brief your main responsibilities will be:

 

· To proactively monitor and respond to IT helpdesk tickets.

· Assist in the development, support, maintenance and security of all IT systems within the schools.

· Assist in the installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software.

· To provide an efficient and effective IT Technical Support Service to members of the school community

· To install, configure, manage and maintain school servers, clients and peripherals.

· To provide IT training and support for staff and students

· To be able to travel to and provide regular technical support to their primary school, so a full driving licence will be required.
