Creating whole year groups in Teams

Hi All,

 

 

Our school asked if its possible to create Teams with all all students of a year group. Whilst I guess I could do this with existing email groups for it to be maintained when students come and go I guess I'd need to use SDS.

 

We use SDS with Salamander to create class groups already but wondered if anyone had setup whole year groups?

 

If anyone has was there any pointers to follow in terms of setting up such a large group in terms of restrictions.

 

The purpose of the group is so it can be used for work hand outs and homework I believe. I'm not too sure why the class groups are not more appropriate but didn't have time to query.

You can just ask salamander to do this for you.

 

The use case you describe, however, seems a little odd. I am not sure what the limit on Class Teams is when it comes to memberships/assignment use, but last time I checked our year groups were too big.

Thanks for your help. I've checked and yes 300 users for creating assignments.
