Hi

I have been asked to give a member of teaching staff the capability to modify Medical Information and User Defined fields on Bromcom. This is due to her role as Mobility Officer and dealing with Health Care Plans.

At the moment, her only assigned role on Bromcom is as ‘Teacher’.

Would anyone be able to advise which role she will need to be assigned, in order to enable her to perform the above tasks? Please could you also confirm the permissions within each module attached to the role which need to be amended (e.g. would it be relevant to amend any of the permissions listed under the ‘Framework’ module within the ‘Safeguarding User’ role?).

Query re amending permissions re health.docxMany thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

Most of the permissions you need are in the Framework module under New Student Details - Health Background.

We have slightly modified the default permissions of the Support Officer role and assigned that to anyone in our SEMH Dept who needs to edit this data, add SEN info etc.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I've just checked the permissions allocated to the Support Officer role under Framework (as per the attached file), and unfortunately there is no permission to add a new record/edit/delete - only to Access or Save. Would those rights for the 'Health Background' area be available under another module, perhaps?

Is there an easy means (a report, perhaps) which enables me to identify under which modules where it's possible to add a new record/edit/delete for a particular permission? (obviously in this case, I'd be interested in all of the 'Health Background' permissions.)

Once again, many thanks in anticipation of your help.

I think Framework is the only area where Health Background appears as its associated with the Student profile.

If you give save permissions that should work.

The permissions are not particularly well documented - there is no equivalent of the SIMS spreadsheet that gives a list of all the permissions a particular role grants.
