[22h2] Remove "Open in Terminal" context menu in Windows 11

So my testing of deploying Windows 11 via WDS/MDT is going well and I'm now on to user testing.

 

First thing I notice when logging on as a test student is the ability to write click a folder and choose "Open in Terminal"!

 

 

How are you all removing this item?

I'm not as programming is a skill to be taught.

 

But possible Remove-AppxPackage -Package Microsoft.WindowsTerminal

Use this registry patch to remove it from the menu.

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Blocked]

You can also block it with applocker or software restrictions.
