Just wondered if anyone knows roughly how much companies get for installing the new wireless in schools via Dfe Funding and also how we can find out a schools on the Dfe Funding list ?

Hi,

 

Are you within one of the education investment areas,

You could email [email protected] to find out if you have been invited.

 

However if you are outside the investment area you will likely not be invited.

 

However if you are in the areas its worth checking as often the invites from DfE are missed or lost.

They are sent to who they have on their system so again the invite could go to a head or even the Office@ address or even to a member of staff that is no longer with the school.

They need to change the wording on who is eligible the 'intervention school regardless of location' is wrong it seems.

I guess it's a poor way of saying elidgible schools must either be in one of the listed areas, or if not in those areas, must be classed as inadequate by OFSTED. That's how I understand it anyway.

The amount is entirely dependent on the school layout and networking needs. There's no fixed figure - you get companies to quote based on the DfE spec, and then submit the chosen company's pricing to the DfE in a cost matrix, and they approve it (or get the company to adjust).
