Heebeejeebee Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Nice, I do have a directory lister that does exactly the same job but you have to manually copy/paste into excel. This eliminates that step. Good find. HBJB
SeanVin Posted July 4, 2008 Author Posted July 4, 2008 Have you tried it - does it work as you expected? Yes better than I expected as it gives folder sizes and last modified dates. There is no documentation, on my first couple of runs it failed because it ran out of rows. You need to be careful how many sub-directories levels you enter (-1 appears to be all of them), I also un-checked the 'list files' box. It can take a while to scan, It made me late leaving work! I was using Excel 2003 but I will try it with 2007 next week. One really useful feature is that the last column holds a 'Unique number'. No matter how you sort or chop out sections of the listing you can sort by 'Unique number' and restore the original tree structure.
