I'm looking for recommendations and prior experiences for running a number of tablets in kiosk mode for simple survey response. Initial plans are that surveys will be anonymous so no need for sign-ins and could simply be a MS form. Also interested to know what product you'd recommend to centrally manage the devices with? Budget could be around £200-£300 per device, but if £100 does the job, then the money can usefully be spent elsewhere.

Recently set up a large batch of tablets with SOTI Mobicontrol. Might be a bit overkill for your purposes, but allows you to create different profiles, locked down as much as you want, limit access to only those apps/websites you specify.

Do you have Chromebooks? Maybe some ChromeOS tablets using the Kiosk features?

No, but I have run Chromebooks in kiosk mode before and am certified administrator. I could do it and would like to in some ways, but internal politics most likely would prevent it. As a M365 shop, there's resistance to allow Workspace in to the fray!

Thanks - will have a look. What tablets are you using?

I would just get some iPad 9th Gen's which with edu discount and without VAT would be around £270 and put them into single app mode with an MDM.

We are a charity, so not strictly edu and therefore get clobbered for VAT so that'll probably push them over target price.

I've had decent luck with setting up a kiosk profile for Lenovo Tab M10 android tablets in Microsoft Endpoint/Intune. If you have that already I'd probably go that route.

We have an outsourced IT department (of sorts!) and they do use Intune. It's unclear about Endpoints usage to me, but there is a project to role that out fully so I think we will have to engage with them. Lenovo's had hit my radar and the K10 came up, but reviews weren't great so maybe M10 is the better bet? I've just learnt we have a Samsung S6 donated to us for trail use. So we get the kit then look at requirements and ask the questions at that point! It's just like working in a school again

Windows can be set to auto-logon as a local user, then you could have Chrome / Edge load up in kisok mode - some previous discussions:

If they do give you that to work with, let me know and I can let you know some of our profile settings to get around a few annoying quirks with android/endpoint. :)

We bought 50 x Galaxy Tab A8 to use with our learning team (we're a charity too BTW!) and all seems to be working well.
