Are they in 4k on Android? Would the subsystem work?

Also found this skin (Gamepad 2) that might be adaptable for non-games).

Unfortunatley not, some are but again others aren't it just seems janky to me.

Thanks for all your help @LeMarchand but I've settled on the AppleTV I'm just going to pray that at some point the price of YouTube premium comes down so I can retain an ad-free experience. It just seemed like the best all around package, plus it'll be supported for a long time, applications rarely leave Apple devices especially since it uses the same processor architecture as iPads and iPhones so it's easy to just develop the apps for.

It's a huge shame you can't jailbreak or sideload on these things as the only thing it doesn't tick is an ad-free YouTube but if it really does drive me insane I'm sure I can find a workaround.

Gigabit Ethernet, Supports Moonlight/Steam Link, All UK TV Apps, Netflix and Prime work. Everything is 4k when it's able to be and it's an all-round good unit. I wish Android TV would take off a bit better like the standard Android OS and all the apps where properly made for it but because of piracy I can't see some apps ever wanting to come round.

I've got a few things also in the dark-side, airpods, Macbook, iPhone so I suppose it'll work nicely with all those things. I never realised how useful things like airdrop would be until I started using their devices so it might be nice to just be able to cast photo's and videos etc... easily also. We'll see.

Shame on Nvidia for removing GameStream as this is what caused me to look into all this and shame on the Smart TV market in general, no app should have exclusivity to one device, it just creates a monopoly for the consumer and is in my view unfair practice.

Well... That's annoying.

At least I have access to all apps I suppose.

Do you hear that though, it's the sound of me getting rid of my TV Licensing contract soon. I never watch live TV anymore and to be honest most decent BBC shows are on Netflix in 4k anyway so I'll manage.

They have a large selection of 4K now and every world cup game and Wimbledon CC is 4K so worth it for that alone.

I’m a little behind the times. I will pipe down! [emoji846]

Only if you like people playing with balls :p.

TBH I think His Dark Materials, which I only have the final season left to watch, and Doctor Who, which is currently more of a "duty watch", are about all I watch on the BBC so the amount of 4K content they have isn't currently a factor for me.

Edit: Just remembered Ghosts, so a few more hours worth I guess.
