[sims] How to create a report with results and classes

Struggling to get the report to create a list of pupils, subject, class code and results/targets for each of the subjects, following this template:

Just not sure how to get the results and classes to show properly/ align.

Any help greatly appreciated as always.

Not sure you can from SIMS nicely. I would break it down and export things separately and then pull it all together in Excel.

 

I'd do it in two chunks - a report to pull out the first 5 columns and then a marksheet with all the students' current grades and target grades, using a lookup to pull the grades from the marksheet.

You could also set up a marksheet for each subject with the two grades you require on it, then add in SEN as an additional column.

The teaching group you can add as the "class" additional column provided the marksheet is linked to a course.

This can then all be exported out to excel.

Might be quicker than messing with lookups to merge two sets of data.

That was my alternative, but generally like the data out of SIMS as quickly and painlessly as possible

You can pull assessments through the reporting catalogue but it does cause serious slow downs in Sims.

I'd build a marksheet to do it, I've tried to pull it out of the reporting catalog (admittedly probably 5 years ago) and couldn't get the filters to work right or hit a limit with the number of filters/sub reports which could be applied to it.
