projector remote replacements

where do you get yours from ?

 

struggling to find original for a panasonic.

 

would a universal TV remote than can learn IR codes work with projectors ?

 

Basically just need on / off (and maybe input source select)

Once upon a time, Panasonic used to sell replacement remotes for all their consumer electronics. Sounds like that may not be the case anymore.

 

I've used this company before who may not be able to sell you an original but do compatibles which emulate the originals nearly down to a T.

They come with a long long long IR Cable, just attached to a single back box. Learned every IR signal I needed and run from batteries, programmed them for On, Off, Freeze and Source Search, not cheap but cheaper than keep on replacing remotes.

I've actually managed to contact Panasonic via a web form and they've emailed back, looks like they can provide

"spare parts" so I've asked for a price, will see what they say.

RS232 control panels are the way forward. Why give staff access to the functions they don't need?

Not free - but if you have to keep replacing remotes and the lost teaching factor...
