Have a weird one.... drivers installed and work fine (according to device manager)

Speaker icon show as muted, soon as I adjust the volume, it make the usual sound as you increase the volume, but then it instantly mutes again.

I've remove the drivers and updating them - this work fine whilst I am logged on, but soon I log off and log on again, the same thing happens again.

Anyone come across this before and have a solution?

Cheers

Hmm my first thought is, does the keyboard have a mute/increase sound button(s) I wonder if it's stuck?

Nope, just a basic no thrills keyboard.

Works while an admin is logged on when the drivers have been removed and reinstalled - but soon as admin logs off or switch user, it goes back to muting again.

This is suddenly happening to us on Impero 8.6.26. Been fine for months. Possibly Windows 11 related as machines we've yet to upgrade seem fine.

Unfortunately I've been through their accounts, muted/unmuted, even deleted their permissions on server, re-created. Still the same. Wondering If I have to re-install server next..

We were having issues with this last year, spotted the issue turned out to be when there was a muted student's account signed in in the background on the same PC, causing the whole PC to be force-muted with this behaviour until that student had been signed out!
