Prowise Screen Not booting up

Anyone been in a similar situation?

 

We have a Prowise interactive screen that is not booting up to the PC module and will not let me see anything onscreen. I cant even bring up the settings or input menu. Screen stays black but you can see the back light is on.

 

Power light is blue but nothing else is possible.

 

Im wondering if it is a hardware issue.

Not sure if it is related but we have 3 that have started doing this over the past week or so, we assume the backlight is dead if you hold a phone torch to the screen you can see the words on screen but it has no brightness. Sadly Prowise support aren't being very responsive and we now have to order temporary TV screens untill they get fixed.

Thanks for your reply. I am suspecting the backlight too.

 

the PC module works fine in another screen so definately the screen at fault.

 

I'm in touch with Prowise but it seems to be taking a while between the UK and Netherlands talking to each other.

We waited 2 days for a response but then an engineer said he can come on Wednesday, hopefully with parts to fix!

We have an engineer coming out next week but apparently there is several weeks wait for parts at the moment.

Following on from this 2 screens had to be taken away and shipped to the Netherlands for repair, we are still awaiting their return! 6 months and counting...

Sadly I went though all this with Prowise chromebooks (unreliability, very poor spare parts avaialblility, mass faliures after year 2 and 3 etc).

 

So when someone said about prowise screens I was like "nope that company is dead to me".

We've actually found them to last really well. We have some that are about 8 years old now and still working fine.

 

It was the back light that had gone on ours. Engineer came really quickly and we had a replacement in place whilst they fixed ours.
