revilo Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Hi guys, We have OneDrive set up and all folders redirecting to save to OneDrive. Working well, but the only issue we've come across is that on first login on a new PC, the user has no folder redirection as the folder doesn't exist yet (OneDrive needs to login first) So first login - OneDrive sets up and logs in Second login - Folders redirect If there was a way to delay folder redirection for say 30 seconds after login, this would cure the need to log in twice. Anyone come across this before? Thanks

Thanks Point your folder redirection at an environment variable, as that will exist whether the OneDrive folder is there or not, then when OneDrive syncs and creates said folders it all just lines up. 1
revilo Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 We have, but the point is that it takes a second login for the folder redirection to kick in because the OneDrive folder doesn’t exist until after the first login, so the redirection fails whether you use a variable or not
3s-gtech Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Can you map with scripting, and schedule that until it completes? Not tried it, but allows you to add the time variable. net use, but how on Earth you link that that to Onedrive I don’t know!
tmoon-mint Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Just curious so sorry to derail the thread slightly. What are the advantages of using folder redirection to achieve this instead of just using known folder move which is built into Onedrive? Ive been using that and it works just fine.
