Windows 11 & Power Management AMD

built my 1st PC in almost a decade and setting on a basic AMD 5600G and A520 in a nice small case etc lovely and compact excellent

as you do when you have a new build you are looking and temps and the like.

 

finding that W11 is refusing to drop the clock speed below 3Ghz so the little box is rather hot

having a rummage around the internet it appears that W11 and AMD have had or are having issues! what is this the early 90's?

 

despite installing patches from MS and AMD the problem persists and had to resort to a custom power plan which does allow the OS to drop the core speeds down to 2.5Ghz

 

anyone else seen this issue / found a way to resolve it
