Badaz52 Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I am in the process of re-imaging the computers on site. Once a teacher machine has completed I am going into Solus and choosing reinstall agent however this does not then install the software that was assigned to it the first time around. It just sits there unless the user opens the agent and clicks on check to force the install. Anyone know how to overcome this?
ITGuyNW Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 I've always had to remove the computer from solus and then re-add it. Choosing reinstall etc seems to have bad results in my experience.
DaveJ2717uk Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 reinstalling the agent works fine generally - only drawback as you've found once reinstalled is you have to open solus on the reimaged PC and check for updates to get sims to install.. As ITGuyNW says remove and re-add is the only way sims install automatically... But solus is, My opinion, generally crap........
round2it Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 are they the same pc name? i would just remove all the computers and reinstall from scratch
Koldov Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Would it possible that SOLUS has a database that has already marked the computer as having SIMS installed and doesn't look any further than that...? If that's the case then I also think you'd have to remove the computer from SOLUS.
icttech Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Solus is a bit flaky with re install from my experience as well. As good practise I remove the computer and re add it.
