Zombie_Tech Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Hi Guys, Hope you are all doing fine on this lovely summer's day! Thankful for the AC in the office. I seem to be running into an issue with opening PDF files from Sharepoint / OneDrive synced to a machine. It keeps popping up with a check out & open option. I have created a GPO reg key to disabled Feature Lockdown and set the value to 1 however this does not seem to be helping. What am I missing?
russlp Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I had this recently and couldn't get it to work as a local machine setting. Worked for local user though: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cSharePoint bDisableSharePointFeatures dword:00000001

It's still asking me to checkout the file.
russlp Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Weird, I've just checked and I have that in both local machine and current users - I'll have a look see which one is actually working!

russlp Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 No worries, only my workstation - just out of interest did you log off and back in?
Zombie_Tech Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 No worries, only my workstation - just out of interest did you log off and back in? Yes - Did a gpupdate /force and did a full restart of the machine.
russlp Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) I've taken both settings out the registry and it's not started prompting me so that's really weird. The current user one definitely removed the SharePoint / Office 365 server options from the file menu for me though. The only other thing I did do was disable 'require checkout' on the settings for the SharePoint site - might be a combination of the 2 things that stops it perhaps.
