Jaan Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) We're looking to replace our aged Heritage software. Ideally it will need to be web based with a online library, Google SSO. We're looking to use rfid cards for students. Our MIS is Bromcom, so anything that works in with that and syncs users would be great! Not even looked myself yet so just looking for your recommendations whether positive or negative. Thanks All Edited July 13, 2022 by Jaan
supportman Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Softlink Oliver cloud works well. We have Bromcom as well, I think its a CSV import of users but not hard.

LOL i was just looking on Bromcom's website and its the only library system listed. NOt sure if that means it can integrate via the APIs or not yet, https://www.bromcom.com/partners
LeMarchand Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 All my schools switched to LibreSoft and haven't looked back. It looks like you can use Google SSO. Don't know about RFID but, at least when we started, they were responsive to feature requests. 1

LeMarchand Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 You use Bromcom as an MIS also? Sorry, Arbor. Maybe I should get around to turning that on!
ITGuyNW Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 We recently moved to AccessIT. After a few teething issues at the start, it all seems good. Much better than Reading Cloud. Welcome | Accessit Library Management System Features for IT Managers | Accessit Library Management System
robyholmes Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Just started using Libresoft here and it links to Wonde which syncs with Bromcom, so no issue there. We're also trailing the Office 365 SSO login as well with them which is 'Beta' but it's working. We use Paxton Net2 Desktop reader with the keyboard output. So students ID cards are 'Barcodes' in Libresoft but as far as Libresoft are concerned, it's just an ID number typed in. Barcode reader is used to read the book barcode. 1

That's great thanks, So just to confirm, the students are synced to the system via wonde if the student is in bromcom. You say O365 is your method of SSO, any ideas if they support Google SSO? EDIT: Sorry just seen the Screenshot above, i can see the Google SSO there Thanks

Yes to Google SSO although I've not used it of course, but it is an option. 1
LeMarchand Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 So just to confirm, the students are synced to the system via wonde if the student is in bromcom. Have just asked about this (and Arbor). This is an extra cost/year. For us, probably not worth it, but YMMV.
