Burning DVDs

Just a quick one, I need to burn some students science projects to disks - (experiments filmed), they are in the avi format.

 

I am going to burn them to dvd-r's, will these play fine in most dvd players?, kids are going to take them home.

AVI's wont play in most dvd players, you will need to convert them into VOB files etc, use Nero or similar and create a video dvd with the avi's, this will allow you to create menu's etc.

 

Bit of a potch for numerous different dvd/avi's though.

 

Put the avi's onto dvdr and tell the kids the will only play in a pc.

As per this tutorial :

you can use dvd flick ( DVD Flick ) to convert from a video file to dvd format and burn it to a dvd.

At the very least you can use dvd flick to convert to dvd format and then use a burner of your choice ie nero or deep burner or xpburnerse to burn the dvd files to a dvd.
