Not at all sure whether I'm in the right forum but it seems the best match so far..... [mods, please move this if you think it's better elsewhere]

Foolishly admitted in church that I used to be involved in running a school MIS. Now I've been 'volunteered' to do the same for church, which is currently in the quill pen and parchment era; our new vicar is enthusiastic about Churchsuite as a solution; it looks OK and I've had a bit of a play with it; he says it's worked well in his previous parish.

On the off-chance that some people on here have experience of church MIS, and Churchsuite in particular, I'd welcome any comments and advice.

Thank you all

Only as a church member. It works.

Each person can join small groups or volunteer groups. It’s probably a lot simpler than a school MIS.

I guess it probably only works properly if you have church members with Technology.

My parents church, they are full of the older generation without smart phones etc, I sometimes get asked to run presentations or set up sound for events.

It works pretty well for us, people love rota reminders etc and you get a lot of functionality for the money. You don't need to make everyone use mychurchsuite, so if you have older more reluctant people someone can just enter their details and they can still receive emails if that's all they want to do. It's probably worth having some training but it's pretty simple to get going. We had a couple of mornings where some people were on hand to help the less technical members register and install the app if they wanted. Feel free to PM if there's anything in particular you want to check.
