Zone Director 1100 reset

A local primary we have took over is having some networking work done. Part of this was to bring it onto our ip address and subnet. We never got given the Ruckus ZD credentials so have reset it however now i cannot get into it even when trying 192.168.0.2 as ip (set up my NIC to be on that range)

 

Anyone seen this behaviour before as can't get into it to reset it back up.

By default the ZD will get DHCP but then fall back to 192.168.0.2 if unable to get DHCP

Power light is solid green

 

Status light is flashing green

Have just checked the DHCP leases and none have been assigned to the mac address of the zone director either.

Do you get a ping response from the default IP? What error message do you get when to try to connect? I recently had to install Firefox to get around SSL issues trying to connect to a ZD1112 running very old firmware.

Hi,

 

Its been a few years since I had to do this but if memory serves me correctly you need to plug directly into the zone director device with a laptop, after a reset, before you can configure IPs etc.

 

Not sure which port it was though but there's not much choice. :-)

That’s ZD1200 not ZD1100. Only one reset button on an 1100

Big thanks all, got it sorted, did another factory reset and picked up dhcp this time round.
