Disable - Virtual desktop shortcut key

Hi All,

I can't see any post about this so please direct me if I am wrong.

I am trying to prevent students from creating / using virtual desktop shortcut key (Win +Ctrl + D).

Found some articals online but strungling to get them to work.

I seem to remember doing this at one stage by using AutoHotKey. A GPO that took care of deploying AHK to computers, and then another that runs an AHK script at user login. When running, the script would capture Win+Tab, Win+Ctrl+D, etc. keystrokes and just perform an Alt+Tab instead.

 

IIRC you can configure it so that AHK runs silently without any visible systray icon. Don't have that in place at the moment, but I'm almost certain that it all worked well.

EDIT: Seems ridiculous there isn't a GPO to disable this!

Whats so crazy is that the GPO to disable win key works but as soon as you add an additional key Like (Ctrl) it works with the "Turn off Windows Key hotkeys".
