Finally, able to find proof that my house wasn’t bombed flat in WW2 from this (Rumour on the street is that a block of houses, including mine were bomb damaged (they were bombed and people next door died) and had to be demolished), an aerial picture from 1950 shows the house intact (though houses at the end of the street are gone. So dont think they will have re built the house exactly as it was in 5 years Edited March 22, 2022 by asteer

I always knew there was a factory behind my house. But never seen what it actually looked like! Also shows how little the area was built up in war times!
