Need to identify a fiber cable

Hi all,

 

i need to identify a optical cable we have. I used to have a link to a website which explaned what each section of the cable but i can't find to save my life. even Google isn't helping?

 

Anybody have a link or resources that might help?

In my experience, cyan is 10GB (OM4) Orange is 1GB (OM3) and yellow is 10/100 or single mode fibre

Will normally say on the cable what it’s OM is.

 

Or atleast if it says 62/125 then it must be OM1

Yeah i know where it all goes. I just need another one running and would like to match the spec. It is armored. as it "sits" ontop of the building

 

I'm just trying to de code whet each section means.

Though 3-08 meaning om3 8 core makes sense.

 

I have been advised in the past that without explicit OMx branding you really shouldn't trust the fibre to meet any particular spec. That advice came from a company that wasn't selling me fibre*, but wanted to make sure that who ever was supplied infrastructure that their services could depend upon. *They did resell another companies cabling install services, but they weren't chasing that lead with us.
