Just a bit of fun / curiosity but can anyone identify what this pin is / is for ? We've found a couple in our office and no one seems to know what they're for.

Fairly sure it's a hinge for a glass/thin fronted door, very similar to what you'd get in a small network cabinet

That was one of our theories. But the screw goes upwards and would shorten the length of the vertical post exposed which is surely not what you want.
