Citrix are planning on launching GotoAssist Express soon.

As the name implies it's a 'lite' version of GotoAssist, and should be cheaper.

At the moment it's on free beta, but when they do launch it it'll be charged. They haven't announced the charges yet.

I've used it to help with some of my private clients and it works flawlessly. I'd recommend it to anyone who gives remote support.

Sounds good, I must admit though I'm a Logmein free user myself, not quiet as easy as Citrix Gotoassist as it needs a client on the pc and registering to the account but it is free so for small amount of config it can be ok :)

I tried it again last night to give support to someone who'd phoned me, but it wasn't working.

The client reported that it had a connection, but it couldn't start a session. No explanation. I reported it to Citrix via the beta support email address.

:(

I'm sure they'll get it fixed.

The free beta is ending in February 2009. After which it's $660 per year. I don't think I'll be using it at that price.

I've been using it occasionally, for my self-employed small business, over the past year but it's not worth paying that.

Beta testers get a 30% discount (reducing the price to about £300 + VAT), and there's still time to register. Link below:-
