Hi there,

We have some Brother L3550cdw printers across the site and there is an issue that spans all of them.

No matter which options we select for duplex, the page is flipped incorrectly on the opposite side and thus is upside down.

The official driver is installed, we have all the advanced options and the print is set to duplex long edge.

Does anyone know why this could be happening as we are stumped! - this happens both if we use the printer via network or directly connected.

Thanks

Chris

Brother's advice on this issue says:

Link: 2-sided (duplex) documents print upside down

Is it possible that when you print, although installed, the driver isn't being used?

Hi there thanks for your response, I have checked the printer preferences on the printer directly and it shows the correct model on the driver and all the advanced settings, so looks like the right one! No idea why it’s happening

Thank you

Hmm.

Clear the print queue, and stop and restart server's print spooler queue?

Strangely it’s happening to every printer of that model on our site, we have about 5/6 of them, some plugged in via Ethernet some via USB, so it’s not specifically related to the print spooler. I’m wondering if it’s a bug with the driver itself but seems odd!

When you say you've tried all the settings can you list what you've tried...?

Is there a long-edge/short-edge setting for duplex?

This is what I was going to say, flipbook duplex rather than book duplex.
