Can an Edugeek admin/developer look into this - when a member posts a URL that is linked to an external website, the URL is prefixed with an Edugeek URL.

For example, if you hover over the link to what was recently posted re PaperCut... in the bottom left-hand corner you can see the actual URL, which is incorrect - and therefore the website fails to load.

This has been much to my annoyance for a while.

Out of interest what browser are you using, as it does not seem to be an issue when I click the links in Edge or Chrome. I don't have any browser extensions other than Impero enabled.

That's just the redirect link isn't it? I just tested those links and they work fine.

I've tried Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera.

In Chrome and Edge, I am only using the extensions Ghostery and uBlock origin - and Edugeek has been whitelisted in both browsers.

That will happen on any links posted in areas where you have to be logged in to access (aka where guests/google cant go) to prevent leaking of the page you linked from to the 3rd party site by browsers/logs etc.

So behind the red door/security forums etc will have that.

The links do work for me on FF latest at least, I can possibly think of one thing that may cause a problem but I wouldnt have expected it to cause an issue normally, do you happen to get an error "Redirect Error"?

Yes, I do get the "Redirect Error". I always leave myself logged in to the website, saving me the bother of having to login each time.

Ahh okay I know why that error may appear but it shouldn’t normally unless. I have an idea of how to work around it so I will knock up a workaround soon.

Can you try now, links will still error if opened in incognito/private but normal tabs *should* work.

@ZeroHour, the issue still remains.

I am not sure why your browser isnt sending the tags properly but I have put in a temporary workaround to make life hopefully a bit easier, now when you get the error there will be a link you can click to continue on to the site, let me know if that works in the interim.

Cheers
