ICT Technician / Network Manager - West Norfolk

Hi everyone,

 

I'm moving schools just before the Summer Hols start. My old position is starting to be advertised if anyone is interested. There's one technician to work with as well so you are not on your todd on this one.

ICT TECHNICIAN/NETWORKING MANAGER

 

The Park High School is a successful 11-18 comprehensive school with 768 students and is Norfolk’s newest Specialist Technology College. As part of the school’s programme of continuing improvement we now require an:

 

ICT TECHNICIAN / NETWORK MANAGER

Salary (Scale 6): £21,412 - £22,845 pa

full time, 37 hour per week, all-year-round appointment.

 

You will be required to manage a Microsoft Network with 300 computers. The ICT Technician/Network Manager will need to be flexible and willing to work with students in the classroom. Many new high-technology developments are expected and you will have an active role in this. You will also be expected to maintain, clean, repair and electrically test the computer equipment. (Training will be provided for the electrical testing of computers.)

 

Letters of application with CV and names and addresses of two referees to Dr. R. Rogers,Headteacher.

Surely the post is either an ICT Technician post or a Network Manager post?

Its more NM role, but you are expected to do ICT Technician jobs as well like toner changes etc.

So which one is the title of the post, IT Technician or Network Manager???

Exactly even a NM is expected to change some toners etc... I mean I do it if I have to then thats just the contents of the job description.

Might be a technician salary in london but this ain't london mate.
